Adafruit has released instructions and files for people with access to their own 3D printer to 3D print their own HD video goggles for video gaming, or movie production and other uses. Virtual reality goggles have been recieving increasing attention from the video gaming industry over the last decade, and with the rise of the Occulus Rift and their sudden sellout to Facebook many people have been looking for other alternatives. If a DIY option can be made for much cheaper then a retail version and have the same level of quality then DIY products may become more and more common in our homes.
