National Geographic came out with a great article about 3D printing in December which highlighted a few of the more daring and innovative uses and ideas to come from those who are currently using 3D printers. For example they talk about how NASA is using 3D printed molds to help them create parts for their space suit simultaor which is helping them design a new and improved spacesuit for astronauts to wear when they repair the ISS, or hopefully in the future land on Mars. There are many different industries 3D printing is currently having a positive effect on and National Geographic does a great job of showing us some of these applications. The article also has a picture gallery and a video to watch, all the pictures on here are courtesy of the National Geographic article.
