Stratasys has announced ASA as a new material that can be used with their Fortus 360, 400, and 900 systems. It offers UV resistance and therefore is great for outdoor applications where the part will be in direct sunlight. ASA has superious asthetics to ABS and offers a much better surface finish which also makes details like text come out much more detailed. ASA also have improved impact resistance and flexibility over Stratasys’ ABS.
