An Italian collective of like minded professionals is researching a method to allow them to 3D print marble using the waste created during the traditional marble production process. During this process there is a fine marble dust that is produced which is not easy or cheap to properly remove to the landfill. This new method under development could not only dramatically reduce the amount of waste marble production is currently creating but also add a new material to the 3D printing world which could revolutionize 3D printing in the museum, historical and the art-decoration sector.
