A blog from artist Bryan Cera has posted a detailed guide on how to electroplate your 3D print. Now it does seem a little messy, but if you have the time and space this could be a great technique to have. Not only for the cool factor, but it is also very practical. Imagine being able to scan or design a metal part on an antique and replace that missing part with your own print electroplated in metal. It also opens up avenues for custom jewlery making and other things like trophies, or medals.
