A new 3D printer has entered the market, debuting at the NYC Maker Fair called “The Vader.” While still in the production phase the company Vader Systems aims for their current model to be geared towards small businesses, but there is the hope that such technology will be marketed in the home 3D printer price range within a year or two as the patents on laser sintering technology expire next year. With metal 3D printing on the verge of becoming an affordable option for virtually all businesses this printer could change the manufacturing process drastically for many.
