Following anesthetizing this rat, a CT scan was performed and viola, a simple conversion later into STL file and print away. Awesome implications for Veterinarians looking to perform practice procedures before commencing long surgeries. CT scans of injured animals are replicated in the 3D print providing valuable insight to the injury type and severity.
